Creating a Shabby Chic Patio Umbrella for Free

Fold the fabric in half lengthwise, right sides together. Stitch the two long edges together, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance. Turn the fabric right side out. 4.Attach the fabric to the umbrella frame.
Place the fabric over the umbrella frame, right side up. Center the fabric and gather it evenly around the frame. Secure the fabric to the frame with screws or ties. 5.Add lace or ribbon (optional).
